This is a great bit of kit! This packable jacket weighs in at only 86g (Men’s medium) and is a brilliant balance of water resistance and breathable.

The jacket itself packs into the front pocket in around 10 seconds (yes, I did time myself) and can be unpacked in around half that time meaning you won’t get caught short in a sudden downpour. Although the jacket cannot be classified as waterproof, I have run in some pretty heavy rain and not had an issue staying dry. It has a ‘next to skin’ technology that means the jacket is fitted but does not feel heavy on the skin when it is wet. I like the fact it is slightly longer at the back meaning it catches water kicked up from the feet whilst running and the elastic binding at the cuffs mean it is easy to access your running watch whilst the jacket is on.

The one bit of advice I would give would be if you keep the jacket packed like I do, give it a good shake off before you pack it, I made this mistake first time I stored the jacket after a run and it was a little damp when I used it next. I think the jacket itself represents real value given the level of technology it possesses and is definitely the best packable jacket I have owned.
